Join David Greenwood Haigh to explore pairing your favourite chocolate and gin! Ancient Aztecs, incorporated the beans into water mixed it with chilli and cinnamon as a drink. Or made a cornmeal gruel chocoholics might forgo the gruel; but more of us are coming around to the idea of savoury chocolate. Just as with gin, chocolate is influenced by the natural environment in which it is produced, including factors such as the soil, topography, and climate, so it presents us with a complexity of flavours and textures, with the potential for subtle changes with each batch of chocolate.

We will be hand rolling, dipping and decorating truffles (and maybe some decorated buttons depending on time.) Allergies: There will be a vegan dairy free option but there may be a risk of traces of dairy so this is unsuitable for anyone with serious dairy allergy. The chocolate we will be using is nut free but we do have a variety of nuts and peanuts on our premises so not suitable for anyone with a severe allergy just in case. The workshop will be gluten free. The chocolate contains soya. Participants will be required to wear a mask and can bring an apron if they wish, otherwise disposable plastic aprons will be provided.
